New managing director for DASA
We have recently announced an important change to the structure of our senior leadership team .
Managing director and founder, Darryl Gartley will now move to the role of Chief Executive Officer, and current commercial director, Chris Edwards has been appointed as managing director.
Edwards joined DASA just 18 months ago with over 20 years expertise in the insurance claims and loss adjusting industry. He is also a director of the BDMA – the certifying body for damage management professionals, setting standards and providing training and accreditation for practitioners and others across the wider insurance industry.
Darryl established DASA in 1982 and over the last 39 years he has created a strong reputation in the insurance industry working with a number of key insurers. Chris Edwards commented:
“I first met Darryl and the DASA team 19 years ago and was impressed with their approach and the core values that they held.
“Having worked with them all for the last 16 months I can honestly say the same core values and approach to managing such a wide variety of claims remains exactly the same. With a real focus on the customer, acting with integrity, honesty and sticking to what they do best they have grown significantly.
“I was delighted to be approached by Darryl to take over as MD so he could focus on what he does best, training the next generation of engineers through the DASA Academy, and focusing on the elements of the business that he enjoys.
“It wasn’t a difficult decision for me and I am very grateful to be given the opportunity. We have aspirational growth plans including moving into new industries and launching new areas of our business, it’s certainly an exciting time.”
Added Darryl: “The last 39 years have been incredible and I’m so proud of what we have achieved at DASA. There is more to do however, and I believe that Chris is the right person to help us achieve our growth plans.
“The DASA Academy has always been a real passion of mine, our people are the best in the industry and I look forward to focusing my attention on this over the coming years.”
