1982

Where it began


In 1982 Darryl Gartley, founded the business, undertaking drainage default works for local councils, operating from a small premises in Manchester.

Darryl was passionate about establishing a business that would deliver a value added service,  exceeding client expectations by investing heavily in technology and recruiting the very best and highly trained colleagues.

As a family business Darryl is very much still involved in the strategy behind DASA and has since also welcomed his daughter Jessica as part of the board of directors. Thus continuing the family ethos as the business continues to grow.

1990

Along the way


In 1990 we began working with one of UK’s leading insurance companies – Guardian Royal Exchange (GRE) now AXA.  AXA still remain one of our largest clients 30 years later.

Our work with AXA established us in the insurance industry and this continued to grow, we now work with some of the countries largest insurers and their wider supply chains, loss adjustors, surveyors and many more.

In addition to our work with insurers, we also operate in a number of other industries and sectors including;  facilities management, education, housing and  niche areas such as, high net worth, unusual and historical properties.

Continuing development and investment


Our continuing investment is key to the success of our business. Over the last 40 years we have developed new solutions and carried out thousands of hours of training to enhance the service we provide to our customers.

Technology is at the heart of all we do, we are passionate about its use, in the field and throughout the entire claims process

The future 


Recently, DASA has achieved the largest growth in its history and we are now providing a national service to some of the countries biggest insurers.

Although we are now much larger than we were in 1982, the family ethos is embedded into our core values and approach.

Our vision is to continue to improve the customer experience, control cost and lifecycles, find innovative solutions to restoring damaged properties, offer sustainable and environmentally friendly services and continue to exceed customer expectations.
