Kieron Lowe scoops ‘Claims Technician of the year’

We are delighted to announce that Leak Detection Services Manager Kieron Lowe has officially been announced as BDMA’s Claims Technician of the year 2022.

Kieron joined DASA just two years ago from the motor insurance industry.  Starting a role in a new industry, he certainly had a lot to learn.  His role as Leak Detection Manager was to develop and progress the mains water claims division – a tough task with no previous knowledge of the industry.

Just a few weeks into his training, the world went into lockdown, which could have set a lot of people back, but not Kieron he describes this time as: “One of the most challenging periods in my career.  I had to really start putting my training into practice before it had even completed.  A great deal of learning was certainly on the job as our enquiries more than doubled in the space of a week.  Training continued of course, but around the day job!”

Last year he became BDMA accredited, just one year into a role in a new industry this was a fantastic achievement for him.

Kieron’s key role is to lead and expand the Leak Detection team and this he has certainly achieved.  The team has grown, enquiries have tripled and a number of new high profile clients have been secured.

Kieron has had a tremendous impact on the DASA business. Leak detection is now our fastest growing service and Kieron and his team are leading the way.

By the introduction of new technologies, the team has further minimised the disruption caused to customers as a result of leak detection investigations.
